Its amazing what you find while looking through the stash. On my old dressmaking cutting board (seriously really old thick 1990’s cardboard cutting board) which still has loads of life left – and doubles as my design wall when needed. I totally forgot I had loosely pinned some pre-cut 5″ squares. Put the board aside I don’t remember when – anyway today it came back out – and I stitched the squares together – so I have a part happy dance – after a little thought it will be the backing of a lovely boys quilt – so I think it might need to be called “Boys will be Boys” – as it has pirates, bikes, horses, soccer etc – I say its the back as I have some wonderful train fabric for the front.
I have also stitched a few Rudolf Rules – a lovely Nikki Tervo design and ceramic button. I think they will become little hanging pillow decorations.
From on of the mags this gorgeous lilt Christmas Reindeer – I stitcvhed it in a sparkly Aurifil and DMC Light effects # 5270 – love a bit of Christmas Sparkle.
Love the reindeer, also!!!! I’ve never seen that design. I use my old dressmaker’s board all the time when I do my “sandwiching”/pin-basting. Mine is from the ’70s, I think, if not before (it came with me when we moved here in ’74!!!!!). The quilt looks great!!!! The title is perfect, too. Hugs…………………..
Thanks, now I just have to finish it off
you have been a busy bee and I love the reindeer
Yes the machine has been zooming along. I love the reindeer also, except my Moth suggested I had skipped a few stitches when he saw the outline gaps
no I love the outline, it looks like a pencil sketch like that
