It’s been a few months since I last played with the zipper pouch. Being a novice with the zip it has been daunting time. Anyway, biting the bullet I broke out the fabric and zip. To play/practice after far too long on Pinterest exploring 1000’s of techniques, tips etc.
A friend was over, and while she dabbled with crochet over a cuppa, we chatted and I played with zip, fabric and created this little box pouch. It has a few flaws, the first one I could not be bothered with altering as I had reversed the inside and outside fabrics, stitched and top stitched the sip. No way i was frogging all that. The direction fabric of the cathedral windows should be on the inside – oh well, it’s still very pretty.
Next time I hope to master the inside and hopefully have seams enclosed – its all learning and fun. Bonus i am a bit of bag hag and you can never have too many pouches to store things in. Although I will gift this one to MIL, as she needs one in her overnight bag for hospital stays.
Take care and happy stitching your friendly bad hag – Debbierose

we’d never have known that pouch ended up wrong side out! your zip insertion looks perfect!
Thanks Claire, it’s been a learning curve, one I am enjoying

Love the look of this inside out purse. I agree go with the flow – you end up with an organic design.
