Scrap Happy Time. Time to share the thoughts and treasurers created with scraps/left overs in my craft stash.
Hosted by the dynamic duo Kate & Gun. All those mentioned in the links below have Fab blogs to check out.

Time to create a block book. A large piece if sewing notions fabric for the body, and left over Pink breast cancer binding from my girly girl quilt. I have been saving batting off cuts and finally have enough. The page separator are usually interfacing or muslin, however I had the taffeta left over from my debutante outfit taking up valuable space, and in need of purpose. My overlocker needs to come out of hiding to neaten up the inserts.
I have included a picture of my gorgeous Mum and I at my Senior Deb Ball, in my 3 piece taffeta suit/dress. I decided on a top with peplum, floor lenght shirt and a 2nd knee length skirt to change into later in the evening. Ahh the good old days, Perms and smiles around.

Ploughing through my embroidery draw, a quilters poem stitched ???? Years ago. Perfect for the cover. Experimented with a flange adding a pop of green. Then dabbling in my first machine embroidery quilting (poorly) adding adding some decorative stitches. Not sure if i will unpick and try to straighten it up plus I still need to applique the poem on as I didn’t want to machine it.

Please hop over to my fellow blogging scrappers listed below to check out their stunning creations.

What terrific idea. Love the poem piece.
Thank you, it was interesting to stich by hand, and so happy it is finally out of the draw, and on its way to being completed
Love fabric books!!
Thanks Gun
perfect – everything! The picture is a treasure and the poem is so real/great. Love fabric books, wonky is good just say it was intentional and difficult to do.
Yes, I think i will keep the wonky look, as a reminder of my machine embroidery quilting journey
Nice quilty book, but I love the photo with your mother!
Thanks you, Mumma is forever in my heart, and instilled the love of craft into my life
You know, I’d leave it wonky, as a reminder of how far you’ve come since then.
Yes, you are right, and I will leave it wonky as a reminder of my embroider quilting journey
love the quilting poem ^^
Yes, it is a special, means a lot to me, and all those tiny back stitches. I am on a mission to use the stash of embroideries in my draw sitting completed and lonely for a finish
