ScrapHappy July 15th

Yep I have joined a scrap happy group.  Were using only scraps, left overs, recycled bits.  Posting progress on the 15th of each month.

Working out what to do, was easy.  I have a scrap project started 2 years ago.  The larger pieces of fabric were recycled from an old skirt. Threads are leftovers from cross stitching kits and projects. So it is keeping with my finishing things off motto.  I tried to do 2 sets at once, ran out of time completing one set as a gift for Moths parents.

So here are our Christmas Nativity Flags, as I left off 2 years ago:

Not a lot of progress, however the binding is complete on the Angel, with extra stitching on the 3 kings.  So here goes my progress thus far:

Obviously they need a good pressing.   Flags measure 7″sq when complete. If I choose they also have the bible passage which can handwriting or printed on the back.  Last time they were handwritten.

Here are the links for everyone who joins ScrapHappy from time to time (they may not post every time, but their blogs are still worth looking at.

  1. Love the idea of Nativity flags, and what a good use of scraps. I often look at my overflowing boxes and think that some scrappy bunting would be a good idea, but then what would I use the bunting for…? Hope to see you again next month 🙂
